The team here are big on attitude and professional development, making it a great place for a long-term career.The RoleA Senior Accountant within the team, assisting the Managing Director in managing clients and relationships. Ideal for someone getting ready to move into the partner stage. It is typically a normal Monday to Friday work week. The role will have established clients, but someone with the attitude and drive to network and bring on some new clients as well would be great.Management of clients and relationshipsProactive focus on providing client-driven solutions and serviceEnsure that confidentiality and a high standard of ethics are adhered to at all timesResponsible for the completion of all compliance work required for allocated clientsDemonstrating a sound knowledge of limited liability companies, trusts, limited partnerships, and company structures, providing advice on these to clients as requiredTimely and accurate completion of clients' consolidated monthly and annual financial accounts and statements in accordance with statutory complianceCompletion of year-end reconciliations and reportingCompletion of client work papers to produce accounts and various reports according to agreed time framesEnsure a sound and up-to-date knowledge of NZ tax law in order to provide meaningful advice to clientsProcess income tax, GST, PAYE, ACC, FBT reconciliations and returnsProvide agent support to liaise with clients for any IRD correspondenceIdeal CandidateMust be CA/CPAIdeally someone ready for partner and confident in assisting the Managing DirectorIdeally someone with their CPP or progressing toward itStrong tax knowledgeAn interest in networking and acquiring new clientsAn interest in doing more advisory work can be advantageous (cash flow, budgeting, gap, valuations, structuring, and more)Experienced working with medium to large entitiesFamiliarity with XPM, FYI, Dashboard Insights, or Spotlight Reporting can be beneficialBig Four experience not necessaryA passion for your work
