SEN Support Practitioner at Warren Childcare Centre, Kempston MK42 7NR
SEN Support Early Years Practitioner (1:1 support required)
30 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-3pm, Term Time Only

We are seeking to appoint a 1:1 Early Years Key Worker to join our team from September 2023. The role will involve supporting the learning needs, emotional support, and social interaction of a pre-school child on a one-to-one basis. Prior experience of working with children with special educational needs is desirable.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with passion and drive to support a child with special educational needs as their 1:1 Key Person. The successful candidate will be working 30 hours per week, as part of the team in the main pre-school room. This is a rewarding role, playing a huge part in supporting child development and preparing for school readiness.
Our community pre-school is based in Kempston, Bedfordshire, offering sessional childcare to 2, 3, and 4-year-olds. We are a dedicated, supportive setting, looking for the right person to further enhance our team.
We are looking for:

An enthusiastic, well-motivated, and committed individual.
Someone with a real passion to make a difference every day.
Previous experience of working with children with additional needs, ideally on a 1:1 basis.
Someone with a calm, patient approach to supporting the needs of children.
A willingness to learn and get involved.
Good literacy and numeracy skills.
Knowledge and/or experience of the EYFS and IEPs.
Ability to work alongside an established team and able to undertake IEP targets provided by SENCO.
