Our space systems business includes our extensive line of satellites and components that have enabled more than 1,700 missions including the James Webb Space Telescope, NASA Psyche Mission, Artemis I, Mars Ingenuity helicopter, and more.Join our pioneering team and launch your career to new heights!SECURITY OFFICERThe Security Officer is tasked with delivering physical security, ensuring the protection of our assets (premises, possessions, people, and infrastructure) by maintaining a safe and secure environment.The Security Support Officer will primarily be responsible for providing an onsite presence at our Auckland Production Complex, escorting services to contractors operating. Quality customer service is a key requirement of this role. Flexibility of hours is essential to this role.As a member of the security team, operational preparedness, readiness, and responsiveness are critical to this role.WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DOProtect the company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment.Provide 24/7 physical security of Rocket Lab's NZ assets (premises, possessions, people, and infrastructure).Ensure the smooth and effective running of security operations by:Monitoring CCTV, access control, and intrusion detection systems.Responding to issues or incidents identified through these systems, or as observed by, or reported to, you.Maintaining Master Key systems and Trusted Contractor access fobs.Monitoring and controlling access at building entrances and vehicle gates as operationally required.Maintaining situational awareness of the environment and the people working in and/or visiting our facilities.Reporting incidents and issues via the appropriate systems.Maintaining and updating the security operations manual and SOPs and ensuring communication is managed accurately to all relevant stakeholders.YOU'LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:Pass criminal background checks and ITAR regulations.Demonstrated experience working within a team and toward team goals.Excellent written and spoken English.THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE:Experience in conflict resolution and dealing with difficult people.Understanding of the Privacy Act 2020 and its applicability in security.Current NZ Certificate of Approval is preferred though not required.If this sounds like you, apply now!
