About this role

TWoA's security communications centre is based at the Mangakotukutuku campus (Glenview, Hamilton) and manages security throughout Aotearoa to ensure the wellbeing of our people.

These roles are roasted shifts alternating day and night 7-7 shifts, 4 days on 4 days off within a friendly and welcoming team environment.

The primary purpose of the Security Monitoring Officer is to monitor TWoA property and the well-being of people by:

Monitoring and operating security systems.

Dealing with security related issues.

Managing nationwide staff enquiries via phone and email.

Communicating in a clear and timely manner.

Resolving issues that arise.

Sole operation/responsibility.

About you

We are looking for someone who is:

Adaptable.

Approachable and customer focused.

Can de-escalate and resolve conflict.

Goes above and beyond to seek information.

Can establish credibility and build strong relationships.

Has some experience within the security field.

Level 2 & 3 security certificate of approval.

Computer literate – MS suites.

Good communication – written and verbal.

As a kaupapa Maori organisation, your willingness to participate in cultural activities and develop an understanding of Ahuatanga Maori (values, culture and tikanga) is desirable.
