Established by way of an international treaty between Australia and New Zealand in 1991, JASANZ provides internationally recognised accreditation services that give confidence to markets domestically and internationally that goods and services certified by accredited bodies meet established standards.As an official accreditation body, JASANZ uses standards and technical experts to check and formally recognise that certification and inspection bodies are competent and reliable. Certification body activities include licensing products, auditing quality or environmental management systems, and issuing certificates of conformity. Inspection bodies undertake various types of professional inspections and issue inspection reports.The system of accreditation provides for a consistent, robust, and reliable use of conformity assessment to international standards and norms. Purpose Support the implementation of organisational values, strategy, and processes through sector knowledge and documentation.Key Responsibilities Relate conformity assessment to stakeholder needs. Support regulatory initiatives. Engage with industry, regulators, and scheme owners. Participate in technical discussions. Collaborate with internal stakeholders. Manage knowledge transfer and sector expertise. Coach and mentor assessors and technical specialists. Oversee scheme committees and stakeholder activities. General Undertake projects and improve internal systems. Manage relationships inside and outside the organisation. Maintain scheme knowledge and documentation. Assessments Conduct onsite and remote assessments. Support Assessors and Technical experts. Identify talent for the assessment pool. Qualifications and Experience Experienced auditor/Assessor (preferred). Knowledge of Australian/New Zealand regulatory environment. Familiarity with ISO 22000 and other food standards. Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., food technology, agricultural science). Experience in client relationship management. Eligible to work in Australia and New Zealand.
