Occupational Health & Safety (Human Resources & Recruitment)Contribute to the development and maturity of safety, health and wellbeing at KiwiRailPermanent, location flexibleWhat you'll doReporting to our Chief Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) Officer, you'll be a key member of the SHW Leadership Team.
Your central focus is to support the SHW Business Partnering Team who work across all aspects of operational business unit portfolios.In this newly created role, you'll provide leadership and guidance to the SHW business partners to support them to engage their business units in the strategy, practices and protocols of KiwiRail's SHW vision.
You will also maintain an oversight of the whole business unit performance - monitoring data, providing detailed insights, developing improvement actions, monitoring progress and formulating effectiveness analysis.
A core deliverable will be for you to clearly articulate the purpose of KiwiRail's Safety Culture Transformation Programme (Toitu Te Mauri) and its key tools and demonstrate Felt Leadership safety practice.You will be responsible for growing capability and ownership of SHW programmes and tools along with cementing the critical interface of the Team with the wider organisation through solid, collaborative stakeholder relationships.What you'll needAs a subject matter expert in safety, health and wellbeing you'll bring relevant experience from a Rail or large, complex heavy operational environment.
You'll be comfortable and experienced at interacting with and influencing senior executives, with a proven track record in leadership, mentoring, and coaching others.
