About the Role – Class 2 Sweeper Truck Operator We're looking for a Class 2 Sweeper Truck Operator to join our Grounds Maintenance team. In this unique role, you'll play a key part in ensuring airfields, runways, roads, and parking areas remain safe and well-maintained. You'll also work on the upkeep of grassed areas and gardens, adding variety to your day and honing a range of skills in outdoor maintenance. If you're hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to learn, this might just be the role for you!
This full-time position (40 hours/week) includes early morning starts on three days per week.
What You'll Be Doing Operating a dual-drive sweeper truck with precision.
Lawn mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding to keep outdoor spaces looking their best.
Using a range of grounds maintenance equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.) safely and efficiently.
Sweeping pathways, walkways, and other hardscape areas while performing minor repairs to keep them debris-free and presentable.
What We're Looking For To succeed in this role, you'll need:
Class 2 driving experience with a clean record. (Experience with sweeper trucks or similar dual-drive vehicles is ideal.)
Familiarity with common grounds maintenance tools and equipment.
A good level of physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Great attention to detail, an eye for safety, and strong communication skills (both in person and over the RT).
A valid Class 2 NZ driver's license.
Mechanical aptitude is a plus, though not essential!

This role is based on an NZDF site, so candidates must complete a pre-employment health check (including drug and alcohol screening) and have eligibility for NZ citizenship or residency with the potential for security clearance.
