We have an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic Retail Supervisor to join our team here at the SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium Auckland!
About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will oversee the daily operation of the retail outlets within the SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium. This role is focused on delivering an incredible guest experience and high-quality products within our retail stores. The success of this role is measured by maintaining financial and non-financial KPIs and promoting a great staff culture to achieve guest satisfaction and staff engagement targets. This role holds responsibility for the smooth daily operation of the commercial department and the delivery of ongoing training, focusing on motivating staff to provide excellent customer service with every interaction.
The role is a multi-skilled role, which will see the successful candidates working within all outlets across all departments in SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's. The role will see you acting as an ambassador for SEA LIFE Kelly Tarlton's Aquarium.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a passion for guest experience with a focus on keeping it fun! You will be proactive in your approach to customer service with a positive attitude towards interaction with our guests and upselling techniques. You will understand retail, with health and safety top of mind.
The ideal candidate will have a high attention to detail and be driven by delivering the best product to our guests through an engaged and highly motivated team environment. You will be an expert at prioritization and delegation in situations that demand fast service and managing various expectations of internal and external customers. Get in touch with your creative side with product and display merchandising. Previous experience in a similar role is ideal, but a desire to work in the entertainments and tourism industry is essential.
Other criteria include:

1-2 years' experience in a role leading a team.
Experience working in guest services, retail, or a similar industry.
Experience in customer service with a focus on effective conflict resolution.
Proven ability to multi-task.
Desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
A fun and positive approach to your work.
Experience in POS systems in a ticketing or retail setting advantageous.
The ability to work a roster which may include weekends, school holidays, and/or public holidays.
