Restaurant Manager

Fez Kebab is a Turkish restaurant in Matamata with a relaxed ambience and a great culinary experience. Our restaurant is open 7 days a week with a capacity of around 100 seating patrons, offering takeaways and deliveries.We are looking for a restaurant manager to organise and coordinate administrative duties in our restaurant. A minimum of 30h/week is guaranteed.Responsibilities:You will be responsible for the smooth running of the business in the restaurant, planning and organising special functions, taking reservations, and deciding on seasonal menu items.Working with suppliers to ensure adequate levels of stock are maintained, keeping documentation and records as needed for the preparation of accounts.Ensuring the store complies with health regulations and is clean, functional, and of suitable appearance while maintaining service standards.Conferring with customers to assess their satisfaction with products and service.Marketing and social media management.Developing and implementing advertising and promotions to improve customer loyalty.Having oversight and control over the staff roster system and leave applications, confirming and managing staff leave requests.Minimum Requirements:At least 1 year of full-time working experience in a similar industry or a relevant qualification, such as a Business or Management Diploma.Must be able to work on weekends; the store is open 7 days, 9.30 am-10 pm (you will be rostered).May be required to work evenings to complete tasks.Must have knowledge of MS-Office programs.Good communication and presentation skills, as well as organisational and problem-solving skills.If this sounds like you, please get in touch.
