We recently commissioned our $450m Harapaki Wind Farm and have a number of other projects in various stages of development around the country.Job DescriptionWhat you'll be doingThis role is critical to the success of every project and provides contract development and management assistance on behalf of the team.Managing the drafting and commercial development of project works contracts, whilst ensuring that key interfaces between major workstreams are well managed and included in contracts.Managing the procurement processes (EOI, RFP, RFT etc) and assistance in management of other key project processes for project works packages.Providing support with contract management and administration to the wider team.Engaging with suppliers and contractors to assist in contract negotiation.What you'll bringA professional with prior demonstrated achievement and success in construction projects and experience in managing mitigations to deliver complex project/programme outcomes.Experience in the preparation and execution of large construction works contracts.Business/law Degree and/or commercial experience essential.You'll understand the renewable energy construction sector within NZ and what mechanisms are best used to manage risks and drive value.A self-directed individual who gets energy from integrating their work with the wider teams' requirements and demands.Strong connections in the engineering construction and consultancy markets within NZ and overseas.Have excellent written and oral communication skills.Why Meridian?At Meridian, we value all people.
