Amotai is an economic initiative creating opportunity in the supply chain for Maori and Pasifika businesses throughout Aotearoa. We support and advocate for supplier diversity across government agencies, the private sector, Iwi and Pasifika groups so Auckland's business sector reflects the diverse communities of our region.
He angitutanga: The opportunity This is an exciting fixed term opportunity to make a real impact on the socio-economic outlook of Aotearoa.
We are searching for an experienced Amotai Relationship Manager to drive supplier diversity across the Auckland Council Group.
Reporting to the Manukura, you will work closely with different stakeholders across Auckland Council to grow awareness and build staff capability in using Amotai.
In this role you will focus on: Growing the number of Maori and Pasifika businesses engaged in Amotai in the Tamaki regionSupport Amotai business to business activities in the council groupBuilding the capability of Auckland Council to engage diverse suppliersIdentifying opportunities in the supply chain for Maori and PasifikaLeading complex work programmes and projects relating to supplier diversityTo excel in this role you will possess a strong understanding of the challenges facing small to medium-sized enterprises in Aotearoa. You will be responsible for building relationships across all business levels, increasing market share, and supporting the growth and capability of Maori and Pasifika businesses. Proficiency in Te Reo Maori and tikanga, along with strong commercial acumen and communication skills, is essential.
The role requires a strategic approach to driving outcomes, expanding Amotai's network of members, and ensuring programmes are delivered on time and within budget. Strong client service, effective stakeholder engagement, and high-quality reporting are key to success, alongside a relevant tertiary qualification.
