In this role, you would provide advice on infection prevention and control measures to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors to Te Tai o Poutini and Waitaha facilities as a member of the transalpine IPC Service. You will guide and support staff in clinical areas, laboratories, and maintenance and engineering to implement appropriate IPC practices in their work areas to minimise the risk of infection transmission.
Ko wai koe | About You Your ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team in a variety of situations with both individuals and groups is imperative in this service as you are responsible for providing IPC advice, education, and recommendations to clinical staff across a wide variety of disciplines.Your clinical knowledge and experience, in addition to diplomacy, respect, and professionalism, will be key to engaging with staff and patients to ensure your success in this role.Previous experience working in infection prevention and control would be an advantage although not essential as a full orientation programme and training will be provided.Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC.Ongoing training and development.Health New Zealand employee benefits.When you work at Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, you are part of a wider whanau that will support you along your journey.
