A unique opportunity has come about for a certificated Teacher to join a small team working in a rural setting at Country Kindy, located conveniently between Feilding and Palmerston North. Operating from just over 3 acres of farm land they offer children and whanau a true kiwi countryside experience and in this role, you will get to enjoy working alongside the youngest learners aged 2 - 6 years of age in a mixed age classroom with a strong focus on outdoor education. The centre hold a licence for 40 tamariki and boast fantastic community connections and have made a real commitment to providing quality care and education.
This role would best suit a registered Teacher (provisional or full) who has some experience working with children 2 - 6 years of age and is passionate to keep working with this age group moving forward. There is scope to move into a leadership position in the near future if that is of interest and you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Centre Manager to support in the day to day running of the classroom.
This is a permanent position with the option to work full time or part time depending on what suits you best. What makes this place so special? Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE) New Zealand Level 7 Qualification in Early Years Education Current New Zealand Teachers Registration or be close to obtaining it A genuine warmth, care, and passion for children. Team-player who is collaborative and reflects upon best practice. Knowledge and understanding of Te Whariki.
