Psychiatrist: Totara Early Intervention Service Adult Community ServiceTe Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels. Totara House is an Early Intervention specialist multidisciplinary service for young people (18-28 years) who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis. The team aims to reduce the disruption to people's lives by intervening early through a range of services, including community treatment and support, group programmes, and education about psychosis.
Mo te tunga | About the role We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychiatrist with a special interest in Early Intervention to join our team in a permanent, part time role (0.7 FTE – 0.8FTE). In this position you will play a vital part in our mission to identify and address mental health concerns in their early stages, thereby improving long-term outcomes for tangata whaiora.
Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and evaluations of individuals, with a focus on early intervention strategies.Develop personalised treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and therapeutic modalities.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support to consumers and their whanau-family.Offer guidance and support to colleagues regarding early intervention approaches and best practices.Stay current with advancements in psychiatry and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.Mo matou | About us Te Whatu Ora, Health New Zealand, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
