About the role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced civil supervisor to join our team and play a key role in the execution of our rail maintenance projects. As a Civil Supervisor at CB Civil, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the construction activities related to our rail projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
You will be required to travel across to facilitate our regional projects in the Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty Regions as required by project demand and mutually agreed through consultation.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day functions of the project.
Ensure work is always compliant with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Schedule work tasks, allocate resources, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and adherence to specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during construction.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Maintain accurate records of work activities, including daily reports and progress updates.
Shift Bonus Payments are applicable for night and weekend work
Requirements:
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction
Proven track record of 4-5+ years in a leadership role leading teams and delivering projects on time and within budget.
Rail experience an advantage
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety regulations and procedures.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required within the region.
