We provide innovative and sustainable Engineering Solutions in Transport and Land Development and a proud Kiwi owned business.
We are looking for a permanent full time project manager to join us.
The role requires a minimum of 30 hours per week and maximum of 40 hours per week.
The pay range is $32-$35 per hour.
You will be responsible for: Project Planning and Coordination : Review technical drawings and specifications to develop comprehensive project plans.
Coordinate the procurement and timely delivery of materials, plant, and equipment to ensure successful project execution.
Project and Resource Management : Direct and manage labour resources, ensuring projects are staffed with the right professionals.
Oversee subcontractors to maintain high standards of work quality and ensure project timelines are met.
Contract Management : Prepare tenders documents.
Administer contracts, process claims and oversee the implementation of coordinated work programs on construction sites.
Project Delivery and Quality Control : Monitor the progress and quality of subcontractors' work, ensuring that construction meets all required standards.
Engage specialized building services as necessary to meet project specifications.
Regulatory Coordination : Arrange for the submission of plans to local authorities and ensure all required approvals and inspections are obtained.
Maintain ongoing compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the construction process.
Client Liaison Stakeholder Meetings : Conduct meetings with clients, stakeholders, and council representatives to discuss project requirements and progress.
Proposal Development : Prepare project proposals, including cost estimates and timelines, to secure new projects.
Site Visits and Inspections Site Assessments : Conduct site visits to gather data, assess conditions, and evaluate the impact of proposed designs.
Construction Monitoring : Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
Collaboration and Coordination Team Coordination : Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and support staff to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Inter-Disciplinary Collaboration : Collaborate with other disciplines such as environmental engineers, surveyors, architects and urban planners.
Stakeholder Consultation and Negotiation : Collaborate with Engineering and other Professionals, Technical and Trades Workers, and other key stakeholders.
Consult and co-design with vested stakeholders such as affected residents, property and business owners.
Documentation and Reporting Report Preparation : Prepare detailed technical reports, project documentation, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including correspondence, drawings, and design calculations.
Safety and Risk Management Risk Assessment : Identify potential risks associated with projects and develop mitigation strategies.
Safety Compliance : Ensure all designs and construction activities adhere to safety standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in project management within the civil engineering and construction industry.
Excellent contract management, and project coordination abilities.
Proven ability to communicate both verbally and written Proven ability to manage and deliver civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
