Add expected salary to your profile for insights The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to join our dynamic Infrastructure / Horizontal Project Management Delivery team in Wellington.
In this role, you will oversee projects, clients, and teams, ensuring exceptional delivery and client satisfaction.
You will also play a pivotal role in guiding and nurturing our teams, providing clear direction and fostering a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and oversee project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional growth.
Engage actively with clients to understand their needs and goals, maintaining strong relationships.
Prepare and present technical papers at industry events to demonstrate our expertise.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
Develop and implement project management plans aligned with client requirements.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
Contribute to business development efforts, including client meetings, proposal preparation, and tender submissions.
About You: 10+ years of relevant industry experience, with a proven track record in managing infrastructure projects valued at $40 million or more.
Holds relevant tertiary qualifications in the industry.
Demonstrated experience in roles such as design management, team leadership, or directorship, focusing on infrastructure projects.
Preferred experience in water, road, or rail projects.
Established client relationships or networks with NZTA, Wellington Water, KiwiRail, or local councils are advantageous.
Excellent communication skills, with a strong emphasis on effective communication and emotional intelligence (EQ).
Strong presence in the industry and a robust professional network, particularly in Wellington.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in managing project finances and performance.
