Project Coordinator (Fixed Term) at Department of Conservation, WellingtonContribute to delivering our DOC Digital Strategy to improve how technology can lift conservation in New Zealand.Salary range between $79,656-$100,639 depending on skills and experience.12-month fixed term opportunity, Wellington location with flexible options.Our vision: Nature is thriving in Aotearoa | Te Oranga o te Ao TuroaThe Department of Conservation Te Papa Atawhai (DOC) serves to protect and restore nature spaces and species across Aotearoa.Tangata whenua are inextricably linked to the whenua and te taiao, and we desire a future where whanau, hapu and iwi can thrive in their role as rangatira and kaitiaki.As a Project Coordinator within the Information Systems and Services (ISS) Digital Transformation team, you will be crucial in driving the success of your assigned projects.Working closely with Project Managers, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at achieving successful project outcomes, including:Developing project schedulesEstablishing project control and registersPreparing project documentationOverseeing project activitiesEnsuring vendors are paid on timeSupporting project governanceWe are looking for someone with proven experience in project coordination, preferably within IT or digital projects along with the following skills and experience:Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously and support multiple projects.The ability to adjust to new and competing priorities in a complex and changing environment, and adept at grasping new tools, systems and processes.Proven experience in drafting project status reports, task tracking and scheduling.Strong financial planning, tracking, monitoring and reporting skills. Experience using SAP S/4HANA preferable.Strong attention to detail and drive to deliver results.Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, colleagues and team members.High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and Project.Experience working with or understanding of Agile project methodologies.Qualifications in relevant project methodologies, e.g. PRINCE2 or CAPM.Apply online with a CV and cover letter that highlights your relevant skills, experience and motivation for joining Te Papa Atawhai.
