and you can be a part of thisTo find out more about us, please visit the roleThe Programme Associate Leader plays a vital role in supporting the Faculty Leader in the strategic direction, development, and successful operation of the suite of programmes across the Technology faculty.
This role requires a highly motivated and experienced individual with a passion and the skills for software engineering education and a strong commitment to student success.
Key Responsibilities: Strategic Support and Programme Development: Collaborate with the Faculty Leader to provide strategic direction for the suite of programme, ensuring alignment with the Technology faculty mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
Assist with the range of programme reviews and implementation of improvements based on industry needs and best practices.
Support the Faculty Leader in developing, revising and proposing new programme offerings within the Technology faculty.
Project Management and Industry Collaboration: Work closely with the Faculty Leader to oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of industry projects.
Assist in identifying and securing industry partners for project opportunities.
Support the Faculty Leader in developing and managing project and timelines.
Assist the Faculty Leader in developing and maintaining relationships with industry partners to facilitate internship and project opportunities.
Contribute to negotiations of project agreements with industry partners, ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.
Stay informed of current industry trends and share relevant insights with the Faculty Leader for programme curriculum development.
Communication and Reporting: Work with the Faculty Leader to prepare reports on programme performance, student outcomes, and industry engagement.
Assist in communicating programme developments and industry projects to relevant stakeholders, including students and accreditation bodies.
Regulatory Compliance Support: Assist the Faculty Leader in ensuring the Technology programmes adheres to all programme regulations and accreditation standards.
Work collaboratively with the Faculty Leader and relevant authorities on accreditation matters.
Student Support and Development: Provide support to students throughout their studies, working under the guidance of the Faculty Leader.
Assist the Faculty Leader in fostering a positive learning environment for all students.
Teamwork and Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with the programme team leader and tutor team to ensure smooth coordination of programme activities, curriculum development, and student support, as directed by the Faculty Leader.
About you:Qualifications: PhD in Software engineering/Computer Science or a related field.
Strong project management and collaboration skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to student success and fostering a positive learning environment.
Experience in tertiary education Experience in programme development and curriculum design.
Familiarity with the New Zealand tertiary education system would be advantageous.
Experience in industry collaboration.
Knowledge of programme accreditation standards.
