This is an excellent operations leadership role within one of New Zealand's largest food-handling operations, based in Hastings, Hawkes Bay. This role is suited to those experienced in managing big teams in fast-speed F&B manufacturing environments – this purpose-built site has state-of-the-art technology and systems, and a team of 200 people across two shifts.
As Packhouse Operations Manager you will oversee the day-to-day operations, with a key focus on building team capability and optimising processes to consistently achieve "world-class" efficiency in production output and quality. This role is all about driving further efficiency across their systems and outputs with an ongoing continuous improvement focus, and ensuring the operation is equipped and ready to keep in step with their significant growth projections.

You will oversee daily operations and collaborate and provide support and structure across the teams to ensure effective resource allocation and planning, continued efficiency gains, and development and growth of both plant and people.
We are looking for a manufacturing leader who drives enjoyable, effective and team-centric environments. An eye for the future will mean you are good at looking for improvement opportunities and ideally you will have experience with CI methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing. If you feel confident across the full gambit of leading people, plant, production, then this well-remunerated role will be hugely satisfying and rewarding. Relatability to food & beverage operations would be a huge advantage here.
