This is a great opportunity for an experienced project manager with exposure and experience across construction and building environments. You may already be leading a team across a range of projects, or the tools currently and looking to take a step up into the commercial side of a business. Either way knowledge of painting is highly desired.

Our client, Eric Wiig Ltd is a well-run, highly successful Hawke's Bay business. We've loved recruiting and building this team over the years. They are a great crew, well-known and highly regarded for their expertise in painting and specialist coating services across commercial, industrial and residential projects. They have been operating for over 50 years and continue to build strong client relationships which reflects in their ongoing growth. This new project manager role is key in them managing their workflows and further stepping up their service delivery levels.

As a project manager of their painting and decorating division, you will sit across a broad range of projects from start to completion. You will be responsible for the day-to-day team management and running of each job, through to supporting with the quoting and pricing of jobs ensuring they are profitable. Throughout each project, you will allocate and ensure all materials are on hand, oversee the quality of work, monitor progress and keep clients informed along the way. So there will be a really good mix here to keep you busy, and you will be well supported by the experience of a team of project managers around you.

To be successful here, you will be well known for your people management skills, be results driven and will likely have sat across project management in trades-related practices. Knowledge of painting processes and product is highly desired. You will need to enjoy working at pace and be able to manage many priorities and demands at any one time. You will know how to manage and get the best out of people, have strong communication and organizational skills, and be professional in your approach.
