Based in Auckland, the key focus of the role is to design efficient and lean solutions for production improvement and new product integration.
Additionally, you will provide training to manufacturing maintenance and operations teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Lean Manufacturing, Quality & other ImprovementsHealth, Safety and Environment ProcessShop floor problem solving and new process introductionTo respond and perform all assigned improvement and quality actionsMaintain and improve company quality systems (SA documents, Job Breakdown Guides, Internal Auditing etc)Continue to develop & improve the factory manufacturing systems, processes & procedures.Support of birthing of new products, including BOM confirmation, material marshalling & production/process set-up in accordance with product group leadersDevelopment and documentation of best practice guidelines for manufacturing excellenceLead data capture & collection initiatives for advanced root cause analysis methods including Lean Six Sigma and Process Capability studies.Manage Kanban system, lead and implement improvements where requiredAbout YouThe ideal candidate will be results-oriented with attention to detail.
You will be a team player who proudly boasts innovation and change.
Further, you will:Have experience in Production Engineer or Trade Certified with relevant experience.Expertise in Root Cause Corrective Action Methodologies and TechniquesExperience with LEAN manufacturing and general mechanical engineeringComputer skills, including MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BIExperience with CAD systems (ideally SolidWorks)Knowledge of the processes used in product inspection, manufacture, procurement, and design such as KAIZEN and 5S principlesExperience performing statistical/ failure analysis and developing/ producing metrics to identify/ drive continuous improvement initiatives.IN RETURNWe are part of a global company with a diverse range of opportunities, both locally and abroad.
