This organisation is a values-driven and place-based organisation that works alongside Mana Whenua, the community, and partners to deliver New Zealand's largest regeneration programme. Over the life of the regeneration programme, they will redevelop approximately 2,550 social homes into a total of 10,500 new warm and dry social, affordable, and market homes.The positionThis is a newly created position, managing the full construction procurement process, including procurement of consultants and delivery partners across development sites, development and management of panels and supporting the team in negotiations.The position will sit in the Development and Commercial Team, made up of development managers, operations and QA staff, and reports to the Risk & Compliance Manager. A significant element of the position is risk management, finding solutions and expediting the whole development process to ensure successful delivery of healthy homes, whilst following Government Rules of Sourcing.This is an exciting role for an experienced Procurement Manager who has an intimate working knowledge of government sourcing regulations.Key responsibilities include:Developing scopes for projects based on insights and data to guide the development process and outline key design drivers/parameters.Developing procurement strategies that support the delivery of strategic outcomes.Supporting the Development and Commercial Team to ensure the delivery of projects in a timely manner.Managing a portfolio of major procurement programmes in accordance with agreed strategic plans and timeframes.Leading the management of the end-to-end Procurement Strategy for projects in support of deliverables.Seeking and promoting procurement options that support strategic build objectives.Maintaining and renewing knowledge and understanding of policies and procedures, and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure work adheres to required standards.Supporting the continual review, improvement and maintenance of procurement processes, procedures, tools (including technology systems) and templates in line with organisational aims.Assisting in the development, implementation and maintenance of an effective Supplier Relationship Management framework.Skills and experience required:Strategic Procurement Management experience in construction building processes gained in New Zealand is essential.A strong understanding and knowledge of government sourcing rules gained in New Zealand is essential.Relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Law or a related field.Experience in managing diverse stakeholders.A good understanding of how local and central government operates.A strong personality, the ability to be calm under pressure, resilience, pragmatism and flexibility are key strengths for the role.How to apply:Click apply, or send your CV to ****** quoting reference SP77255.Please click Apply Now to apply for this role or to register your interest.
