With a mission to foster a sustainable, net-zero emissions future, we aim to inspire and collaborate across sectors to ensure that gas remains a reliable, affordable energy source for Kiwis.About the Role:As Principal Policy Advisor, you'll lead GasNZ's flagship 2025 project: developing the Gas Roadmap to net-zero emissions. This forward-looking role requires an innovative, strategic thinker ready to build on existing research, act with confidence to engage stakeholders, and catalyse industry collaboration. Working closely with our CEO, you'll also initiate the implementation of key roadmap elements, advocate for early-action policies, and establish cross-sector partnerships to drive renewable gas adoption.Key Responsibilities:Gas Roadmap Leadership: Define a clear Gas Roadmap for the sector, identifying prioritised actions that will enable our strategic vision for renewable gas in New Zealand.Stakeholder Engagement: Forge new connections across industries, sectors and government to create the synergies and commitment needed to build our renewable gas future.Policy and Regulatory Insight: Develop high-quality research, provide expert policy advice, and prepare impactful submissions that reflect our members' perspectives.About You:You're a seasoned professional with a minimum of 5 years of policy, regulatory, or advocacy experience. You have broad knowledge of the New Zealand energy sector, and preferably the gas or bioenergy sector. You are a proactive self-starter, with both a strategic mindset and pragmatic attitude.
