We are home to the Auckland Urban Design Panel, the Auckland Design Manual (ADM) and the City Centre Masterplan (CCMP), and we are recognised for our ability to shape the urban design and landscape conversations in Tamaki Makaurau.Experiencing unprecedented growth and investment in transport infrastructure, centre revitalisation, public and private housing, commercial development, and public realm transformation, Tamaki Makaurau is a rapidly changing city. We have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Landscape Architect to join us with this mahi.He angitutanga: The opportunityAs a Principal Landscape Architect, you will provide landscape architecture and urban design leadership, strategic direction setting, expert advice and input into:Public realm upgrades in the city centreThe Auckland Unitary PlanThe Auckland Design ManualPublic and private development proposalsThe successful candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities as you will be required to assist and support other landscape architects and urban designers across the Ope. You will also need strategic dexterity to influence and operate successfully across large and often complex stakeholder groups.He korero mou: About youYou have a graduate or postgraduate qualification in landscape architecture - an urban design qualification would also be beneficial. You have a minimum of 7 years experience working in the areas of landscape architecture, public realm design, placemaking, urban design, design guidance and/or spatial direction setting.You are experienced working with a wide range of community groups, elected members and key stakeholders, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
