As the Principal Infrastructure Engineer at Centrapay, you will:
Oversee the reliability, stability and scalability of our platforms and infrastructure.
Work closely with our internal and external stakeholders to define our infrastructure strategy, roadmap, and workplan.
Contribute to the direction of our business while mentoring our talented Infrastructure team to excel.
What you'll be doing:
Ensure, through best practices, Centrapay platform's infrastructure, security, reliability, and scalability is maintained to safeguard our operations.
Responsible for managing the technical product backlog and overseeing implementation for the platform team.
Set, implement, and embed enterprise observability strategy, including the relevant SLIs/SLOs.
Enhancing security and data protection: Help implement security measures to protect against cyber threats and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data.
Discover and implement platform and tooling cost optimisations.
Requirements – Who we're looking for:
8 Years+ of relevant software development experience, especially in infrastructure and PlatOps space.
Deep knowledge in IT infrastructure, including networking, servers, storage, cloud computing, with a focus on AWS.
Financial service industry experience, preferably in payments.
Understanding of security protocols, risk management, and regulatory requirements related to infrastructure.
Business analytical understanding and skills required to create a vision and roadmap for infrastructure.
Competence in managing budgets and making cost-effective decisions regarding infrastructure investments.
