Principal Advisor Strategy and Governance at The Treasury, WellingtonThis is an exciting new opportunity for a Principal Advisor to lead the facilitation of the Treasury strategy, and supporting and guiding senior leadership to help the implementation of the strategy through good governance.At Te Tai Ohanga The Treasury we're creating a better future for New Zealand and everyone who calls our amazing country home. In this role you will:Lead the development of a system/framework which enables and supports the Treasury to ensure it delivers on its strategic directionIdentify any contextual changes that could mean the Treasury needs to rethink its strategy and operating modelLead and facilitate strategic planning sessions with senior leaders to identify risk and opportunities to deliveryWork with the Principal Advisors, Planning & Performance and Risk & Compliance, in the Strategy and Performance team to develop a cohesive strategy to drive performance across the TreasuryHelp shape and lift the performance of the wider organisationThis important work takes a special kind of person with a passion for making a difference and getting things done while working in a fast-paced, changeable and complex environment. The specific experience, skills, and qualities that will help you succeed in this role include:Demonstrated experience at a senior level in the formation of organisational strategies and operating modelsProven experience in organisational governanceAn understanding of Treasury's role in the wider public sectorExcellent communication and influencing skills including an ability to explain complex problems, develop succinct and accurate reports, deliver verbal presentations and to lead discussions with senior leadershipThe ability to think independently and to drive outcomesKo nga hua | What we OfferThis is an important job and that's why we'll do all we can to support your success.
