This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive Principal Advisor to join the Courts and Tribunals' Operations Support team.
Our team works with front line staff, the judiciary, and our colleagues in other parts of the Ministry to support the delivery of justice services to the public every day. It's important work that makes a real difference to the lives of New Zealanders.
This role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment on a variety of different work. That work includes advising on a range of policy and operational initiatives, helping to drive the team's work programme by having oversight of key issues and risks, and maintaining important relationships throughout the Ministry.
You'll also support and coach more junior staff across the Operations Support team to build their capability and experience.
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience building trusted relationships with a wide range of audiences on complex issues
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Experience providing advice on large change initiatives or projects
Knowledge of the machinery of Government and public sector processes
The ability to use performance information or data to inform decision-making.
We're looking for someone with a relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent knowledge, skills, and experience. An understanding of Court and Tribunal operations or the justice sector would also be an advantage.

The appointing salary for this role will be between $110,766 and $154,680 based on skills and experience.
