Salary: $127,142 - $160,000 per annum (+ KiwiSaver)
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the full range of Capability and Organisational Development activities and initiatives.
Lead the development of a workforce strategy for the Ministry.
Contribute to the development of a graduate programme for 2025.
Focus on learning and development, including organizing the common capability plan for the Ministry.
Lead the review and refresh of performance expectation frameworks.
Develop and enhance career progression frameworks, pathways, and strategy.
Contribute to initiatives for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Lead the development of retention strategies and recognition plans.
Contribute to the review of induction and onboarding processes.
Lead the development and refresh of policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Collaborate with the HR team and wider Ministry to build capability and foster high-performing teams.
About the Ministry of Transport:

What you'll bring:
A minimum of five years in an organisational development or capability-focused role at a Principal Advisor level.
Experience in leading the development and implementation of a workforce strategy.
Public sector experience in sourcing and implementing organisational development and learning initiatives.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills and the ability to maintain relationships at all levels.
Understanding of cultural awareness and obligations under the Treaty in the public sector.
