Join us to make a meaningful impact and drive our success forward—while having fun along the way!Responsibilities:Team Leadership:Oversee and manage a team of Software Engineers - providing guidance, coaching, mentorship, and support.Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of work within the Practice and adherence to best practices.Process Improvement:Implement and optimise product management processes, methodologies, and frameworks.Talent Development:Recruit, hire, and develop software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.Performance Management:Set performance expectations, provide feedback, and conduct performance reviews for team members.Knowledge sharing: Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and encourage continuous learning across the Practice.Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.Practice Strategy: Establishes and maintains a practice strategy that balances the businesses current and future needs of the practice with the sourcing and talent management approach.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT or related experience or field.Proven experience as a Practice Manager or similar leadership role (5+ years) and can manage teams of greater than 30 people.Strong understanding of product development methodologies and Agile practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to lead and inspire a team to achieve high performance.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Professional Growth: Access to ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your career trajectory.Collaborative Environment: Work within a supportive and inclusive culture that values teamwork and innovation.Flexible Work Arrangements: Enjoy a work-life balance that suits your needs, with flexible options available.If you are a dedicated and visionary Practice Manager ready to shape the future of Auckland Council's technology services, we encourage you to apply.
