Utilising their strong leadership experience and a strategic, creative approach, the Practice and Pathways Co-Managers will work together to lead our large team of artform experts to be a key part of the development of a sustainable and successful arts ecosystem within Aotearoa. A confident, empathetic, and capable leader, this role will be responsible for managing, developing, and guiding our Practice Advisers to be a high-performing and engaged team, as well as contributing to the wider strategic aspirations of CNZ.
An inspiring people leader, with high emotional intelligence and the ability to coach and develop large teams of kaimahi, you will be able to manage both internal and external relationships with confidence and care. Here at Creative New Zealand, we continue to review how we work with the sector, so managing teams through change will be an advantage for the successful candidate.
Strong connections to the arts sector, as well as an understanding of who we are, the mahi we do, and the challenges we face, are important. Knowledge of public-facing or customer experience processes will be beneficial, as is public sector experience and an understanding of government policies and processes.
You will need an understanding of and respect for Tikanga Maori, along with an understanding of the principles and practice of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, and the implications of this for CNZ's work. A broad understanding of diverse cultures and other ways of working is important, along with possessing the skillset to apply a multi-lensed approach to your mahi.
