They prioritize quality, efficiency, and compliance, striving to exceed expectations while maintaining the highest standards in safety and sustainability.Role Overview: As the Powder Shift Suprvisor, you'll oversee and optimize our powder production operations, from milk intake to final product palletization.
Your focus will be on driving process improvements, cost control, and regulatory compliance while leading a team to achieve production targets.
Salary is negotiable dependant on experience.Key Responsibilities:Operational Excellence: Manage powder production operations to maximize quality, productivity, and waste reduction targets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.Process Improvement: Lead initiatives to enhance plant processes, efficiency, and performance in collaboration with engineering teams.Cost Control: Monitor and control labour and raw materials budgets, implementing measures to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.Quality Assurance: Ensure product meets required specifications and comply with quality standards and HACCP protocols.Health, Safety & Environment: Develop and implement strategies to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, managing risk and compliance with OSH regulations.Relationship Management: Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including Maori shareholders, regulatory agencies, and internal teams.Personnel Management: Provide effective leadership to production staff, including training, development, and performance management.Qualifications and Experience:Relevant technical, dairy, or science tertiary qualification.Minimum 3 years' experience in supervising milk powder production teams.Detailed knowledge of OSH, quality control, and performance improvement.Proven track record in operational management, regulatory compliance, and relationship building.Experience working with Maori Trusts, Incorporations, or Organizations preferred.Personal Attributes:Strong leadership and communication skills.Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.Commitment to upholding company values and ethical standards.Applicants must be a NZ citizen or hold a valid NZ work visa/residency to apply.
