Portfolio Payroll Manager

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Manager to lead our Portfolio Payroll function.
This role is based at Pullman Sydney Hyde Park, supporting the payroll function for 4 key Accor Hotel properties in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
Reporting to the Portfolio Director of Finance, you will ensure timely and accurate processing of the Hotel's payroll, maintain payroll records, resolve any payroll queries, prepare payroll reports and analyze data.
Job Description: Administer payroll in accordance with latest legislative requirements relating to Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll tax, Work Cover, etc.
Assist Department Managers or their designate to understand the Hotel's Award or Agreement with particular regard to areas such as overtime, public holiday rates etc.
Manage the end to end weekly payroll cycle, from processing, reviewing and submitting for payment, to management and statutory reporting.
Prepare and verify the monthly accruals for salaries, wages and on-costs.
Assist in the month-end closing process, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.
Calculation of termination, redundancy, and other payments.
Manage the payroll financial year-end process.
Qualifications: A clear understanding of Award interpretations and updates.
Previous payroll experience within a medium to large organization.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Good attention to detail.
Confidence handling sensitive and confidential matters with integrity.
A high level of computer proficiency.
Previous experience with Wage Easy and/or TimeTarget would be highly advantageous.
