Mote tunga | About the Role Here at Christchurch Hospital we are looking for an experiencedPhysiotherapist in Women - s HealthPhysiotherapy to join us in providing a quality service to our patients. You willwork flexibly to provide support to patients across the clinical specialties inWomen - s Health including obstetrics, gynaecology and pelvic pain. This role is predominantlyoutpatient work, however inpatient cover on the gynaecology and maternityinpatient wards may be required.

This role sits withina wider team working across the clinical specialties of Women - s Health, Orthopaedics,Hand Therapy and Haemophillia.

Kowai koe| About You In this role, you will be responsiblefor:
Using detailed anatomical knowledge and musculoskeletalphysiotherapy evidence to assess and manage a range of women - s healthpresentations from lower back pain in pregnancy, to continence andprolapse assessment and management, and chronic pelvic pain.Undertaking assessments, completing appropriate interventions andproviding advice or referring to other services;Supervising and mentoring staff and students as required;Supporting quality improvement activities.
A minimum of 2 years clinical experienceworking in Women - s HealthBroad clinical experience working in ahospital setting (desirable);Good understanding of the current managementprinciples of chronic pain as well as an understanding of the principlesof adult education;An ability to contribute to interdisciplinaryservice developmentKnowledge of quality improvement principlesand processesAn ability to work unsupervisedExcellent communication skills both verballyand writtenDemonstrated leadership abilities (desirable)Registration with the NZ Physiotherapy Boardand an Annual Practicing Certificate is essential- Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi-Putting people at the heart of all we do - Health New Zealand|Te Whatu Ora, leads the day-to-day running of our health system across New Zealand, with functions delivered at local, district, regional and national levels.
