Service Manager - Forensic Mental Health and IDPH Service OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADERSHIP - Forensic Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Mental Health Services Mo te tunga - About the role The Service Manager will join the Forensic Mental Health and IDPH Service Leadership teams, working alongside the Clinical Directors, Nurse Consultants and Allied Health Consultant to provide operational leadership to the cluster. This cluster includes three inpatient units and a community team for Forensic Mental Health and two inpatient units and two community teams for the IDPH service. The services work very closely with other SMHS services as well as key community based partners and the justice system to achieve consistent, integrated, consumer-focused care delivery. Pehea - About You The Service Manager is also part of the SMHS Operational Leadership Group, working alongside Service Manager / Nurse Director colleagues and members of the Divisional Leadership Team to achieve efficient and effective operational service delivery across the whole of the Specialist Mental Health Service. To be successful in this role, you will: be an experienced people leader, able to support and lead complex, large multidisciplinary teams in health be able to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets the needs of consumers and family-whanau be creative, innovative and solution focused with an awareness of the impact of change on complex systems have demonstrated significant management experience, ideally with experience or knowledge of Forensic Mental Health and Intellectual Disability service provision be flexible, resilient, able to prioritise and respond to emerging risks in a timely and effective manner be able to monitor and report on service delivery performance and key KPIs have experience working within mental health and have a good understanding of the broader health system have a recognised Health Professional Qualification and relevant post graduate training and education Be able to cover after hours as part of the on-call Service Manager roster.
