About the role We are looking for a business-savvy people leader and strong practitioner to support the growing ambitions of Longveld.
This is a critical position, reporting to the Managing Director and contributing to the business at all levels.
You will lead across the people, safety and culture portfolios, rolling up your sleeves to undertake day to day operational activities as well as developing capability to meet future needs.
You will play a vital role by: Providing support and advice on all people matters across the employee lifecycle, continually analysing trends and data to maintain visibility of critical risk areas.
Coaching and uplifting leadership capability to enable succession.
Proactively identifying initiatives to enhance a positive team culture.
Leading an industry best-practice approach to health, safety and wellbeing.
Developing future-focused strategies that align with transformational change and business diversification.
Communicating and managing change across all levels of the organisation.
Implementing effective attraction, retention and development initiatives, creating an employer brand of choice.
Mentoring and supporting a direct report.
Skills and experience Our ideal candidate will have: A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Health & Safety, Business or equivalent.
A qualification in coaching.
Previous experience in a leadership role, or ready to take that next step in their career.
Proven ability to develop people-focused strategies – and deliver on them.
Knowledge across a broad range of generalist human resources, including H&S disciplines.
Strong commercial/business acumen, genuine curiosity, and proven ability to contribute to the overall organisational culture and strategy.
Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence across the business, and network externally, with a high level of emotional intelligence.
