We are currently seeking a People and Culture Buiness Partner to join our NCI NZ Head Office team, based at our state-of-the-art Favona, Auckland site. About the role Reporting to the CEO/Managing Director and working closely with the NZ Plant Managers and their teams, this is a highly operational, hands-on role. You will be responsible for delivering practical HR support to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations, while also driving initiatives to build a productive and engaged workforce. Your key responsibilities will include: Providing practical HR advice to Plant Managers and supervisors, ensuring compliance with employment laws and company policiesRolling up your sleeves to support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development processes for plant staffWorking closely with Plant Managers to resolve operational HR issues on the ground, including employee relations, shift management, and performance concernsCollaborating with site managers to execute Collective Agreement (CA) negotiations and ongoing union engagementSupporting the end-to-end recruitment process for operational roles, ensuring high-caliber talent is recruited and onboarded efficientlyLeading payroll and remuneration processes in line with company budgets and NZ legislationHelping managers with business changes such as workforce planning, role changes, and process improvementsMaintaining an open line of communication with plant staff to build trust and address concerns before they escalateSkills and experience Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field5+ years of hands-on HR experience in manufacturing or a similar industryStrong working knowledge of NZ employment legislation and CA negotiationsExperience with payroll and compensation frameworksAbility to provide practical, day-to-day support to plant operationsStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levelsHands-on experience with recruitment, performance management, and employee relationsA positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to work directly with Plant Managers to solve operational challenges Travel to our Wellington site and occasional trips to Head Office in Australia will be required.
