Payroll Team Leader Full-time Job Description Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. About this opportunity Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will ensure the ongoing accuracy and timely pay to all staff while managing the successful execution of employee records/system requests. You will motivate, coach, and evolve the payroll processing team, setting our people and processes up for success. You will ensure that the highest standard of service is maintained, and queries are promptly dealt with. You will also be responsible for providing various payroll reports to facilities highlighting any major issues. Part of your role will include ensuring SAP Payroll is processing payments accurately and employee record changes made in a timely manner. This role reports to the Payroll Manager and is based in Hamilton. Your key responsibilities Process Weekly / fortnightly / Monthly Payrolls. Maintain employee records in the payroll system. Provide support to Kronos users. Understand and fully utilise the SAP payroll system and Employee Central system. Manage a large number of hourly paid employees to pay on a weekly/fortnightly basis. Meet multiple deadlines each week. Ensure business units meet their payroll deadlines and supply of information. Stay on top of NZ and Australian legislative requirements and changes. About you This is a great opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our shared services team in Hamilton. To be successful in this role you will need: 5+ years' experience in payroll and Payroll Experience with larger payroll ideally SAP. Kronos, SAP Employee Central experience. New Zealand / Australian payroll experience including working with multiple collective agreements and individual employment agreements. Demonstrated capability in process improvement and change management. Action-orientated approach with proven ability to implement and embed change. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical skills. Good attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure. Ability to deal with ambiguity and change.
