The payroll and rostering administrator is an important role within our People & Development team, providing a comprehensive payroll service to Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti. Rest assured you will always have challenges and new learning opportunities.

Ideally, you'll have a strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and the Holidays Act, and also possess the ability to use your initiative and self-manage when required.

Responsibilities
As part of the role scope, you'll be responsible for:

Running payroll reports

Data maintenance

Running the pay within a fortnightly deadline

Mou - About you

To succeed in this role you will ideally have:

2 years + experience in a payroll role

Strong knowledge of payroll specific employment legislation and the Holidays Act

Payroll system savvy

High level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work

Great communication and relationship skills

An ability to work autonomously but still love being part of a team

A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions

Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
