About the Role:
As an Orchard Construction Site Leader , you will be responsible for leading a team of orchard technicians to ensure that our orchard infrastructure is built to the highest quality standards and within specified timeframes. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about orchard construction, enjoys leading a team, and is committed to achieving excellence in all aspects of their work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and Train Teams : Effectively lead, train, and motivate a team of technicians to achieve construction tasks to high-quality standards, ensuring they adhere to build specifications and safety protocols.
Orchard Infrastructure : Ensure the construction of orchard infrastructure is on time, following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and technical build specifications.
Health and Safety Compliance : Promote a culture of safety by ensuring adherence to all health and safety regulations, including onsite site check-ins, PPE use, incident reporting, and machinery pre-start checks.
Resource Management : Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
Planning and Delegation : Plan and delegate orchard construction tasks as directed by the supervisor, ensuring work is carried out correctly, timely, and safely.
Innovation and Efficiency : Demonstrate an innovative mindset to improve work, material, and equipment efficiency, and participate in skill improvement training.
Performance Management : Develop personal development plans for each team member and ensure their adherence to company values and policies.
Community Engagement : Lead participation in two or more community events annually to support our commitment to giving back.

Orchard Construction Experience : At least 2 years of experience in orchard construction.
Machinery Operation : Proficiency in machinery operation with over 1 year of elevated working platform experience.
Physically fit and capable of working outdoors.
Valid NZ driver's license and legal right to work in New Zealand.
Proficient in English communication and able to pass pre-employment testing.
