We are currently open from 8:30am to 5:30pm on weekdays, 9am until 4:00pm on Saturdays. Shifts and days will vary depending on customer demand.The role involves everything from meeting and greeting customers, checking their details on our computer system, performing eye photographs and advanced "OCT" scans of their eyes, eye pressure checks and other "Pre-tests" before the customer sees one of our optometrists, then selecting frames and lenses for the customer, fitting these when they arrive back from the lab and so much more.A successful applicant would have to be comfortable with some physical contact with the patient (e.g., holding up their eyelids for pre-tests or touching noses and ears while fitting spectacles).Benefits and perks2 pairs of glasses free per yearFriends and family discountsAccess to Specsavers Perks staff discount program (involving other retailers)Career development and advancement opportunitiesSkills and experienceA level of retail or customer care experience would be preferable but not essential.
