Operations Specialist

We urgently look for an operations specialist to join our friendly team in Airport Oaks, Auckland. This full time permanent role requires 3 years' relevant work experience as a customs broker or level 4 or above management qualification majoring in international business, or travel management, or logistic management.
Purpose of Role: To process and handle consignments –import, export, sea, air courier.
Key tasks:
-Shipment handling & processing: 
Make sure all incoming and outgoing goods are thoroughly documented and recorded,
Verify shipping documents and cargo to ensure proper release.
-Prepare shipments for customs clearance:
Document the prerequisites for customs clearance and approve the retrieval of cargo,
Work out charges and invoice customers.
-Providing the best possible service to customers:
Offer guidance on custom tariffs, classification of tariffs, concessions, and procedures for clearing goods,
Pinpointing potential sales prospects,
Representing Snedden's Global Logistics/NZ Baggage movers with your best ability.
-Wholesale export clearance consignments:
Collect information regarding export shipments and organizing reservations for cargo space and the retrieval of goods.
-You are required to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a salary of $63,000 p.a. Plus own vehicle allowance $1.1 per km if used.
