About the Role - The purpose of the position is to lead and guide the shape and direction of Council's Property and Facilities portfolio and ensure that the delivery of these functions is effective, efficient and responsive to customer needs. This includes Property Reserves, Aquatic Services, TSB Hub, Horticulture Services, Corporate Property, Housing for the Elderly, Halls, Events, Campgrounds, Cemeteries, Public Spaces and Public Toilets.
Do you have what it takes? - This is a busy role with plenty of variety, including strategic oversight of the Council's property and facilities portfolio, leading and managing the property & facilities team, and developing and implementing strategies, systems, policies, plans, procedures, and programs to ensure legal compliance and best practice in recreation and facilities management.
About You - You are a talented team player with a university degree in a business-related field and 5 years' management experience. You possess proven leadership skills and demonstrated experience in developing projects, policies, and procedures. You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, and the ability to connect with a wide variety of customers and stakeholders.
Applicants for this position must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand, therefore must have NZ residency or hold a valid NZ work visa. South Taranaki District Council is an Accredited Employer and can offer practical support and financial assistance, including employer sponsorship for your visa application.
The salary range for this position is between $121,050pa and $134,500pa. The appointed starting level will depend on skills and experience and will be discussed during interviews with shortlisted candidates.
