Below is a brief description of this vacancyThis page outlines the vacancy and the key skills and responsibilities for the role.Operations Manager - Property and FacilitiesFull-Time - 40 hours per weekReference: 6689699About the RoleThe purpose of the position is to lead and guide the shape and direction of Council's Property and Facilities portfolio and ensure that the delivery of these functions is effective, efficient and responsive to customer needs. This includes Property Reserves, Aquatic Services, TSB Hub, Horticulture Services, Corporate Property, Housing for the Elderly, Halls, Events, Campgrounds, Cemeteries, Public Spaces and Public Toilets.Do you have what it takes?This is a busy role with plenty of variety, including strategic oversight of the Council's property and facilities portfolio, leading and managing the property & facilities team to ensure high-quality professional service delivery, and developing and implementing strategies, systems, policies, plans, procedures, and programs to ensure legal compliance and best practices in recreation and facilities management. Responsibilities include writing, reviewing, negotiating, monitoring, and delivering on maintenance contracts for community facilities, managing Freedom Camping across the district, and preparing reports, submissions, project briefs, quotations, and tenders related to property & facilities activities.About YouYou are a talented team player with a university degree in a business-related field and 5 years' management experience.
