MHAIDS is undertaking a change in the way we deliver mental health and addiction services across the district. We are looking for people who are innovative and passionate about leading people and have a strong grounding in mental health and addiction services in a New Zealand context.
As part of this change, we are looking for an Operations Manager, After Hours District and Hospital Operations, Mental Health and Addiction Services. The ideal candidate will:

The Local Adult Specialist Mental Health and Addiction Service is implementing a vision, principles and future model of care that is integrated, culturally responsive, equitable across the district and aligned with national and local directions. Our focus is on local delivery across the district - one system, one service, locally delivered.

Over the next 12 months, we will be moving to a locality development. The Local Specialist Adult Mental Health and Addiction Services are delivered from three identified localities (Wellington City, Kapiti-Porirua, Hutt Valley-Wairarapa), to provide the specialist mental health and addiction treatment for tangata whaiora who live in each locality.
The Operations Manager for the After Hours District and Hospital Operations, Mental Health and Addiction Services is a management role that works alongside the Operations Manager, Acute Inpatient Services After Hours District Hospital Function, Group Manager and Clinical Director of the Mental Health & Addiction Service, and key external stakeholders to deliver care to tangata whaiora and whanau who require intensive specialist mental health and addiction support 24/7.

A relevant tertiary level business qualification or equivalent in health leadershipProfessional registration and current APCCommitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori whanauExperience in a senior role of this nature in the health sector, preferably in the mental health and addiction sectorExtensive knowledge and perspective of Mental Health, Addiction and/or Intellectual Disability service deliveryExperience operating within a complex environment, including meeting the needs of multiple services simultaneouslyExperience managing a business/operation effectivelyKnowledge of health service data and analytics, and ability to use this to predict capacity and demand and flex to manage thisYou will enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
