The Humpridge Track is located in Southern Fiordland and consists of a 3-day, 2-night adventure, where our walkers stay at our Okaka and Port Craig lodges, which add some luxury to the usual tramping.
We engage with a wide range of walkers and offer three quite different packages catering to their respective tramping needs.
The Humpridge Track is a Charitable Trust and has become more visible as we continue our journey towards Great Walk status in 2024/25.
If you have a 'can do' attitude, a passion for delivering a great customer experience, and meet the skill set below, send us your CV for consideration.The person:At least 2 years' experience in an operations and management role.Health + Safety experience.First-Aid certified, and Duty Managers License required.
(Training provided).Proficient in Microsoft Office & Xero (Training available).Team Leader, manage staff working remotely.Exceptional organizational skills and time management – self-motivated.Eye for detail, not letting things slip through the cracks.A welcoming disposition, friendly and engaging.Presentable with professional approach to self-appearance.Physically fit, can walk 20km in a day – an outdoor enthusiast is a plus.The Role & Responsibilities:This is a succession multi-functional leadership role.Health + Safety: Regular checks and meetings, SOP and H+S management systems are up to date, performance reviews of staff.Office Admin: manage booking system, proficient in Microsoft and Xero, basic accounting skills for payment reconciliations and basic human resources skills for staff onboarding; contracts etc.Customer service with our clients daily; check-ins, briefings, step in when required.Day to day line management functions, overseeing lodge staff, guiding staff and drivers.Meal planning for our Guided clients and conduct training for lodge staff on meal preparation.Flexible to cover positions guiding or in lodges if required due to staff absence.Be on call in the evenings should a situation arise on the track on a rostered basis.Report to General Manager, plan for meetings, etc.This is also a PA role to the General Manager and would be required to step up in his absence.Role specific contract will be negotiated, and additional weekend work may be required.Short listed candidates will be contacted.
