New Zealand Steel, a wholly owned subsidiary of BlueScope, manufactures and markets a range of flat rolled steel products for the building, construction, manufacturing, and agricultural sectors. You may know us for our flagship COLORSTEEL brand.What you will be doingWe are currently looking for a sharp, commercially savvy Operations Analyst to join our busy Finance Operations Team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide insight and reporting on the performance of operations and manufacturing costs across NZ Steel. You will also be responsible for completing the accounts for Steltech Structural Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of NZ Steel).This is a permanent full-time position working Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. You will predominantly be based at NZ Steel in Glenbrook but will also work at the Steltech Head office in Manukau.What you will bring to the roleWith a qualification in accounting, commerce or business, or vast experience in accounts and reporting, you will be technically strong and willing to take a hands-on approach to supporting the financial and operational aspects of our business. Management accounting experience is essential and ideally, you will have a working knowledge of SAP.You will need to have excellent attention to detail, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be a great communicator.
