Cooltainer is a specialist division of Kuehne+Nagel; providing temperature controlled perishable commodities throughout New Zealand, Australia and the Pacific Islands.Your RoleDue to an exciting period of growth in our Cooltainer team, we have an opportunity for an experienced freight specialist to join our Christchurch based office. You will be required to handle export and import shipments, the related documentation and provide customer service for one of our key clients.Your ResponsibilitiesExport & Import operations across various trade lanesCustomer service excellence – one on one interaction with clientsArrange bookings directly with transport companies, and liaise with carriers and suppliersEnsuring that all documentation is completed as per company processes, customer & regulatory requirements and in a timely mannerLiaising with various external parties – shipping lines, NZ customs and overseas offices/agentsYour Skills and ExperiencesPrevious experience and understanding of International Shipping and Freight processesAbility to effectively manage your time, especially when under pressure and with a busy workloadExcellent communication skills both written and verbalAbility to think outside the square and solve problemsA sense of initiative and drive to follow tasks through to completionAbility to build relationships with all stakeholdersPrior direct responsibility for delivering exceptional customer experiencePrevious experience in a customer facing role highly advantageousWhy work for us?In return, we'll offer you opportunities for career progression, a supportive company culture and flexible working arrangements.
