Openings For Graduate Lawyers

Nicholsons Lawyers is currently offering full-time graduate positions in the Commercial/Property team. The successful applicants will be mentored by one of the Partners on a varied range of commercial/property matters and will be guided on a clear pathway toward progression over the next 2 years. Graduates will be trained in all aspects of running a legal practice, ensuring you gain a practical understanding of the firm's business model as well as empowering you with the skills to confidently manage the day-to-day obligations of a Lawyer. To be seriously considered for this role, you will: Be completing your final year of university with a strong academic transcript or Be undertaking your Professional Studies or Have recently obtained a practising certificate from the NZLS and have up-to-date knowledge of NZ law and legislation. Have the skills to communicate in both written and oral with ease and a natural style. Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal abilities. A confident manner when dealing with clients and colleagues. Demonstrate that you can work quickly and efficiently without compromising quality. A passion for the legal field and a desire to progress, learn and grow. Be involved in community interests and hobbies outside of study/work.
