This critical role within our supply chain department requires oversight across multiple departments and sectors, including manufacturing, transport, and paving crews, as well as stepping in where needed.
A key focus of the position is ensuring safety for our employees, subcontractors, and the public at all times as well as ensuring high-quality operations, providing onsite leadership, delivering effective service, operating plant equipment as needed, and assisting roading crews with operations.
Please note: this is a hands-on role and mucking in is essential to making a go of it. The hours are 6 pm - 4 am, Monday to Friday.
In addition to the above you will: Supervise a safe work environment for all employees, subcontractors, and public on all our sites. Assist in the coordination of resources to safely and efficiently complete planned work. Supervise operations in a profitable and efficient manner ensuring the highest quality standards. Provide onsite leadership & decision making where applicable. Ensure effective service delivery and interaction with customers and employees. Operate plant and get involved in the practical operations regularly. Work alongside roading crews assisting with operations. Contribute to any other duties or projects that are reasonably requested. We're looking for someone with: Minimum class 2 licence, including WTR endorsements. A hands-on approach in operations. Proven experience in leading/supervision. Experience in a moving plant environment. Ability to communicate clear expectations to the team. Accountability for resources, including people management and supply allocation. A can-do attitude and the ability to problem solve is a must. Ability to work flexible night shift hours. An unwavering commitment towards safety with a safety record to match.
